no words...

W.O.W!!!!  That's all I've got to say about tonight...

I can't even think of the right words to say thank you for tonight.  The community church service and special prayer time for mother had us all crying like babies and praying for healing!  We are so incredibly, extremely grateful for every prayer lifted on her behalf tonight and the unexpected offering.  I hate that she couldn't stay for the message after prayer time, but she has been in lots of pain all day.

We are so enourmously humble for everything tonight.  We have the best support team EVER, and coulnd't have been more proud to be from a small, loving community as ours tonight.

We are all very excited about flying out Tuesday and appointments starting on Wednesday.  I know that He has a perfect plan for her!!!

come one, come all...

Not much change with mom this week.  Lots of pain medicine, more than usual amount.  We are all counting down the days until we are able to speak to more doctors.

I'm excited to write this post tonight, because of the power of prayer.  If you are in the area, try and make plans to attend the 5th Sunday night community church services held at Bethel Assembly of God church in Ariton this Sunday night.  Along with praising and worshiping, there will also be a special prayer time for mother. She has a very big week coming up as she travels to Houston and prayers are appreciated.  It's starts at 5 p.m. and all are welcome!

Special thanks to all who helped make this possible!

Pray...

I'm out of words tonight. I feel defeated. I pray that He would speak to me and my family. It can be a whisper or a shout, we just need Him to speak to us.

she's a fighter...

She's a fighter, but this week has been rough.  Wednesday was her big 50th birthday, but so much for fabulous part.  She was hit pretty hard with another pain spell that afternoon.  After 12, TWELVE, of the strongest pain pills that she's on, she was somewhat comfortable again.  Birmingham has sinced upped that medicine.  So for now, she's sleeping a lot, taking lots of medicine which makes her pretty loopy when she's awake, and waiting for Texas.  We are blessed to have her at home, but ready to have her back...back to normal.

In other news,  most of you know I spent this past week on a mission trip to the beach for children with cancer and their families.  It was so wonderful that I can't even describe it to you.  The children were sick, really sick, but completely forgot about their sickness last week because of the fun we had.  It was a completely humbling experience that I look forward to serving at again next year, and the years to follow.  My heart is filled beyond words.  I would love for you to start praying now to go with me next year!

I got to spend the week with this little nugget...
She's also the toughest 5 year old I know!!   To say she is a fighter is such an understatement.  She has beaten the odds, and if it weren't for the scar on her tiny little body, which is almost as big as she is, you would never know she has fought such a hard battle.  Please be in prayer for my new friend as she has got some pretty big tests coming up.

While on the trip, I got to experience some awesome worship time!  During our praises, I was introduced to my new favorite song...

My favorite line...."the one that holds the world, is holding you..."

Hope to be back soon with a better week!

New Game Plan...

Sorry for the slacking. We have had lots of things we have been praying about and thinking long and hard about before announcing it to blog nation.

After MUCH prayer and talking with our Birmingham team, we have decided to go to MD Anderson in Houston, Texas for a second opinion concerning mom's treatment plan.

Mom is so precious and irreplaceable to us. We need to know that we have the best, most effective treatment plan in place.

We got word from Texas late yesterday, and her appointment is scheduled for August 3rd, unless a cancellation can cause us to get in earlier.

Please be in much prayer for all of us. We are faced with new, tough decisions everyday, and we only want the very best.

We have complete confidence in her Birmingham team, and will probably begin treatment soon after our visit.

We don't know all the answers. But, we do know that we want to try our hardest to find them. Wherever we may have to go.
